From the BeeKeeper:

Happy New Year!

Can you believe that our lead count has hit 6000 in the last few days?  Thank you to everyone who is playing this game and living on the right side of the "Law of Reciprocity"  Congratulations!

The New Year has not been completely "glitch free", in the game, as you may have already noticed.

Somewhere around the beginning of the year, Holibyte Online Solutions upgraded their automatic email system called EResponder and added some amazing new features to the programming.

Unfortunately for us...these upgrades completely shut down our automated emails and most of the "Hive" has not been receiving their weekly tips, nor their reminders to play.

Thank you to those of you who have remained diligent and continued to pose your questions each week and also "give" to your fellow "Hivers"

It is expected that within the next few days we will have the issues resolved and your emails will continue.  We cannot predict, however, if the programming will automatically send you the tips and reminders that you have missed in the rotation.

Worse case scenario...you may receive a series of up to 4 or 5 emails in a row and I do apologize for the inconvenience.  We appreciate your understanding in this regard.

EResponder is an amazingly simple program to work within and it is perfect for the business owner that wants to send regular newsletters or marketing campaigns, or create a series of automated emails to go to a certain list.

I have had great fun creating your tips and reminder emails and I highly recommend you investigate this product to see if it fits into your business.

SUCCE$$ in the Hive:

For obvious reasons...this player wished to remain anonymous, but nonetheless...this is her success story.

"I have been playing in the Beehive Game Online since the beginning almost and I have seen so many questions that looked alike.  Lately, I have been saying "no" to many questions because I assumed that I already knew who was asking it and I did not want to send those particular people any more leads.  It just seemed that I already knew who they were and they knew me also and it would be a waste of both of our time.

Imagine my shock when I received a reply to one of my own questions and when I followed up with the man I was so surprised to hear that he had almost not sent me his card because he thought I was someone else.  He had been in the "Hive" for almost a year and thought he knew everyone, yet we had never met before!

This relationship turned out to be beneficial to both of us and we are now exchanging services and promoting each other.  I wonder how many opportunities I have missed because I was worried about having to deal with someone that I just didn't have leads for.

Since then, I have been seriously pondering each and every question and not thinking of "who" it could have been posed by.  You never know when a lead could turn into something else and I will not be so arrogant as to think that I KNOW I don't have a lead for a particular person.  We are not all a good fit for each other, and I simply tell certain people that I know about their services and I don't have any more leads for them right now if that is the case.

I would like to say "Thank You" to the "Hiver" who sent me his card...you know who you are...and thank you for teaching me not to assume anything."

New from "...Please Take My Card."

Looking for more referrals and don't know where to find them? Get to know some new people!

Anne Marie Heinrichs, seasoned Hiver and Honey Pot points Queen, has launched a new service in the KW, Camb, Guelph area as part of "...Please Take My Card."

As a member of PTMC Lunch, you meet other business professionals for a one-on-one meeting over breakfast or lunch, that focuses on your two businesses only, allowing an in-depth discussion and a chance to get to know each other and each others' business.

The current membership base crosses over various networking groups and chambers, and includes people who are currently not involved in typical networking as well. "...Please Take My Card." encourages membership for all types of businesses, in both the B2B and consumer market.

Although the Meeting is a two-way permission based sales-meeting, its primary purpose is to bring two people together in a non-imposing way, to build rapport and future referral opportunities.

"...Please Take My Card." has designed a no-hassle way for people to meet in some of the tri-cities finest restaurants for only a $17 monthly membership (lunch is included!).

Honey of a deal: Let's play a game!

Have you noticed that our leads number has reached more than 6000?  That is an absolutely amazing number to reach in less than 18 months.

I have decided to give away some wonderful prizes that have been donated by fellow "Hivers"!  Here is how the game works...

I have chosen a number to reach in the lead count.  Whoever gives the lead that corresponds with the one I have chosen will get the prize!

Winners will be announced in the Beeline newsletter directly following the win.  You never know which number I will choose.  Hint:  It won't be something obvious like 6100 or 6500.  I will choose a random number so each time you click "Yes" and give your card...this might be the lead that is the winner!

Good luck!

If you would like to donate a prize...then let me know!

Un-bee-leevable Quotes

Leaders aren't born they are made. And they are made just like anything else, through hard work. And that's the price we'll have to pay to achieve that goal, or any goal.
